Caught your attention didn't I?! Technically speaking, were not nurses, but Jordyn, Ryder and myself all achieved our AKC Rally Novice (RN) titles this past weekend in Ocala. I was my usual calm self and picked up two pretty blue ribbons and one red ribbon. Along with my two first place finishes I earned some nice checks from the host clubs to help mom cover some expenses, there were some great vendors there and it was the least I could do. Jordyn surprised me and stayed focused, surprised because she loves everyone and there was a person in a wheelchair, and let's face it that girl is a never off "duty". She took home one red ribbon and two yellow ribbons. Ryder did remarkably well too. He placed fourth and brought home three white ribbons. Overall it was a great weekend. We swept the placement ribbons, earned three RN titles, and most importantly...we had a BLAST!

Here is a photo from our weekend. No professional photos, we had to get home to do an obedience demo (ironically enough) to promote adoption at the Grand Opening of our rescue's new facility which also went very well.

Today marks Ryder's first birthday and he's been a wonderful addition to our family. He's definitely a momma's boy, but hey, when your raised by three girls (me, Jordyn, Pebbles and mom of course) I think that's a given. We went out to the local Barkery and bought some goodies for his birthday. Boy did he love his new toys and he shared his treats too. His biggest surprise comes in two days. We are heading over to his breeder's house for a reunion with his canine family, I can't wait!  Happy birthday little man!

It's official, Ryder is now "Nog's Knightly Trek to Hollywood JH" and mom could not be more thrilled! Ryder achieved this title a few days shy of his first birthday and certainly proved himself amongst the older dogs in the field this weekend. The conditions were tough, it was very windy and much cooler than usual here in FL, but nonetheless he  pulled off two fantastic days of hunting. On Sunday he drove through a set of decoys to take a straight line to his mark, even the judge recognized his enthusiasm and mom could not be more happy. Way to go little man!
